Half Crown Petanque Club

We had a great turn-out of 29 players for our New Years Day Open Melee, with little sign of hangovers on a very mild day.
After three rounds there were six unbeaten players, with Ian Brittain (+32) once again taking first prize. Pete Bingham was second (+28), David Mason was third (+19) and his father, Arthur Mason, was a close fourth (+16). Garth Fletcher was fifth (+11) and Lin Rendall was sixth (+7).
Pat O'Flynn played in the last round and was very happy to record his first melee win - the first of many, we hope!
