Half Crown Scoop the Jackpot at the West Midlands Presentation Evening

The West Midlands Pétanque Association's Presentation Evening was held on Saturday 12th November at Whitnash Sports & Social Club.
Of the nine competitions that were challenged during 2011, Half Crown PC members won seven and were runners up in the other two.
Pictured, l to r, are Jerome Rousseau (Club Captain), John Emberton (Chairman), Dave Hancox (Club Coach), Claire White, Ian Brittain and Herve Bavazzano.
The cups and shield on display are, l to r, Regional Closed Pairs (won by Jerome and Dianne Scott), Regional Inter-Club Trophy, President's Cup (won by Ian Brittain) and the Summer League Division 1 Shield. Other awards went to Jerome as winner of the Regional Singles and Regional Shooting Competitions, Claire White as a member of the winning Closed Triples team, and Dave Hancox and Ian Brittain who were members of the runners up team in the Summer Triples.
Jerome and Herve were also awarded a special prize for their excellent performance in the European Championships in Gothenburg, where they represented England, reaching the quarter finals and thereby qualifying for next year's World Championships in Marseille, France.
