Jamie Lewis represents EPA at the World Championships

The Half Crown's Jamie Lewis underpinned a great England performance at the Men's World Championships in Turkey on 8th-10th October. The England team, featuring Jamie together with Lee Jamieson, Matt Eversden and Dean Seville won 4 out of 5 games in the initial qualifying stage beating Poland, Slovenia, Canada and Malaysia, just losing out to Belgium. The next stage was a 3 team barrage against Senegal and Turkey. Senegal beat Turkey and went on to beat the England team who then also beat Turkey 13-3 in front of a very partisan crowd, to get into the last 16. However they lost their first game, finishing joint 9th with 3 other teams. That said it means they finished in the highest position that any English/British team has finished for the last 20 years!!! Well done Jamie.
